Halfway between ambient and trip-hop, with jazzy veins emerging like bubbles in a freshly poured glass. The album “ColourS” by PeligoS TriP presents itself like a very structured red wine, full of nuances that alternate on the palate – or rather, in the headphones. Some inputs arrive immediately, others – perhaps the most precious ones – emerge after a while, after having swallowed the first sip. Initially, listening gives a feeling of suspension, a rarefied air like when you climb to altitude. But after listening to it a few times, layers of clouds emerge: some as white as snow, others more ready for rain that will nevertheless soak the listening experience.

PeligoS TriP is a London-based project that reflects the rich and varied music scene of the capital. The artist, who writes and arranges the songs, plays the guitars and chooses the sounds, built the album around a collaboration with two singers met through the London music scene, a network of musicians that gave life to a work that transcends genre boundaries. The result is an album that blends ambient guitars, carefully crafted vocal harmonies and a production that is not afraid to explore. The tracks were written and arranged in three significant locations – London, Brighton and Vancouver – and each of these places left its mark on the album’s emotional depth, like a geographical imprint merging with the personal dimension of the lyrics.
The most distinctive feature of “ColourS” is the innovative use of guitar pedals, which create an unusual, almost ethereal sound atmosphere that perfectly matches the vocal melodies and harmonies. It’s a sound that envelops without suffocating, that accompanies without invading. The songs are deeply personal, born from moments in the artist’s life, and deal with themes many can relate to. There is no search for a pre-packaged sound: there is the desire to tell, to share, to create a bridge between the intimate and the universal.
The album closes with “Purgatory” , the favorite track of this writer, perfect for the closing, after having emptied and enjoyed the entire glass. It is the moment when the sonic journey completes itself, the clouds thin out and the taste of something authentic remains. “ColourS” is an album that invites you to listen calmly, to let yourself be carried away, to rediscover the pleasure of listening that doesn’t seek immediate gratification, but the depth of the experience
